Ridge Preservation / Socket Preservation
In an attempt to avoid unsightly/significant bone width and height deterioration
following an extraction, a bone graft is immediately placed in the tooth socket
area. In order to save the supporting bone present around the tooth extraction,
Dr. Schlueter will carefully manage the extraction and immediately place a bone
graft material into the socket and the residual area, along with a barrier/membrane
over the grafted area. This prevents bone loss and provides a better cosmetic outcome
for tooth replacement.
